Daylighting and energy calculations are critical to determination and controlling the operational costs and consumption of the building. This multifamily artist housing in Sursum Corda is designed carefully based on environmental simulations done in climate studio plug in Rhinoceros. The software provides live metrics based on the morphology of envelope. The simulation could be done from macro to micro scale i.e. from the massing scale to unit scales. The tool provides seasonal as well as day to day simulations. These simulation was a deep dive into decision making based on environmental metrics.
