The report is a systematic investigation into understanding energy in context of American Suburban Homes. The small scale of the project enables to understand nuanced movement of energy. It is also overwhelming to see that this standardized system of inhabitation is found across the nation and understanding this typology from the perspective of energy would give a great understanding of residential energy practices. Documentation sheets, excel and Remrate software was used to empirically derive the energy metrics. By the end of the analysis, suggestions were researched and presented to the client to reduce operational cost of their home. Past energy and water bills provided by the client were studied and compared with baseline models and metrics generated in Rhino, Remrate and excel.
